Plant boxes on the street pavement with perennial plants to greenify the area and reduce parking nuisance.
1. What's the plan?
The plan is to install flower boxes on the sidewalk of Ottho Heldringstraat. These window boxes are filled with low-maintenance perennials of varying heights that enhance the environment and serve as havens for pollinators. They are strategically placed to maximize visual impact and create green spaces along the streets. A gardener gives advice on suitable plants for the planting areas.
2. Goal and result of the plan?
The aim is to make the neighborhood greener and livelier. Placing the planters with perennials aims to beautify the environment, improve air quality, reduce noise levels, promote well-being, encourage community involvement, reduce the urban heat island effect and promote biodiversity.
3. Who is the plan for?
The plan is intended for the local residents of the area. It aims to transform the streets into greener and more pleasant spaces, improving the quality of life for all residents.
